Founded in 1939, Southwestern Medical Foundation was established as a catalyst to build a world class medical institution in the Southwestern United States. The Foundation established Southwestern Medical College in 1943, which would eventually become what we know today as UT Southwestern Medical Center.
The Foundation has partnered with the North Texas community for the past 85 years to create lasting leadership and enduring impact as we strive to support innovation in medical research, care, and education.
